As Director of Private Wealth Management, Dan is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of GW&K’s private wealth business. He also works directly with a select group of individual clients.
Prior to joining GW&K, Dan spent more than 10 years at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, most recently as National Director of Portfolio Management where he was responsible for the implementation of the firm’s investment strategy, asset allocation and approved solutions for $250 billion in wealth management client assets. Previously, he was a Family Wealth Investment Advisor, working directly with wealth managers, sales and clients providing comprehensive investment support. Dan started his investment career at Mellon Financial Corporation in its taxable fixed income team managing $4 billion in high-net-worth client assets.
Dan received his BA from the University of New Hampshire and his MBA from Boston University. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston. In addition, he serves on the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute, with responsibility for the strategy and management of the organization. Previously, he served as a past chair and board member of the CFA Society Boston. He also maintains the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and Charted Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.
I am most passionate about challenging myself to learn something new every day and then applying this knowledge and experience to benefit the clients I serve. I love that this role gives me the opportunity to help clients reach their specific investment goals. Over the years I have met some incredible people, and being a part of the relationship business, I take pride in nurturing these long-lasting relationships knowing that I am a part of their journey.
