GW&K Investment Management Co-CEO Announces Plans to Retire
BOSTON, MA – April 15, 2025 – GW&K Investment Management (GW&K), an entrepreneurial-driven investment management firm offering active equity and fixed-income investment solutions to meet the needs of a diverse client base, today announced that Bill Roberts, Co-CEO, will retire as of year-end, December 31, 2025.

Roberts has played a pivotal role in the firm’s transformation, as it grew from a $500 million company to a diversified asset manager exceeding $50 billion, while often navigating challenging markets. He joined the firm in 1994 as a vice president and director of operations, before advancing to co-president in 2006 and later being appointed co-CEO in 2022. As co-CEO, Roberts has had responsibility for GW&K’s business operations, overseeing finance, compliance, information technology, operations, human resources, and administration functions.
“Bill’s contributions to the firm have been instrumental in shaping its growth, reputation, and success,” said Tom Powers, co-CEO of GW&K. “It has been a pleasure to lead the firm with him. I know all of GW&K joins me in wishing Bill the very best in retirement.”
In accordance with the firm’s succession plans, Bill’s responsibilities will be assumed by Tom Powers. Powers will continue as the firm’s sole CEO.
