GW&K Names Daniel Fasciano Director of Private Wealth Management

BOSTON, MA – July 27, 2021 – GW&K Investment Management (GW&K), an entrepreneurial-driven investment management firm offering active equity and fixed-income investment solutions to meet the needs of a diverse client base, today announced that Daniel Fasciano has joined the firm as Director, Private Wealth Management, a newly created position. He is based in the firm’s Boston headquarters.

In addition to expanding the firm’s wealth management business, Fasciano’s responsibilities include providing private clients with strategic insight and innovative and customized investment solutions by building on the collaborative client service approach the firm has been known for since its founding nearly 50 years ago.

“Our roots are in wealth management, so it’s no surprise a client-first focus has always been at the core of what we do. Dan’s dedication and passion for helping individuals and families find the right investment solutions will go a long way toward reinforcing this guiding principle,” Harold Kotler, a founding partner, CEO and CIO of GW&K, said.

“We are confident that the leadership, experience and expertise Dan brings to GW&K, along with the tireless innovation and commitment demonstrated by our private wealth management group every day, will benefit our clients directly and enhance our position in this highly competitive area,” he said.

In commenting on the announcement, Thomas Powers, partner and co-president of GW&K, said, “There is no question that Dan is uniquely qualified for this new role. He has more than 30 years of experience in helping individuals and families preserve and grow their assets, over a broad spectrum of market cycles. He is going to be a tremendous addition to our private wealth management business.”

Fasciano joined GW&K from BNY Mellon Wealth Management, where he was National Director of Portfolio Management. In this role, he was responsible for implementing the firm’s investment strategy, asset allocation, and approved solutions for $250 billion in wealth management client assets. Before that, he was a Family Wealth Investment Advisor, working directly with wealth managers, sales professionals and clients, providing comprehensive investment support. He began his investment career at Mellon Financial Corporation in its taxable fixed income team managing $4 billion in high net worth client assets.

Fasciano earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston, where he has served as a chair and board member. In addition, he serves on the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute, with responsibility for the strategy and management of the organization. Fasciano also maintains the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and Charted Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.
